Resumen:

The objective of this paper is to analyze the suitability of a textbook as a didactic unit for teaching and learning English as a foreign language at the introductory level. The research concludes that the book presents an appropriate lexicon for the level published on its cover, and that it promotes the development of lower order skills in the students.
