Although CLIL (content and language integrated learning) is known in several private schools, it is not the case in public schools.Learning a second language in Colombia is notoriously tough. First and foremost, because of the culture, which regards it as an impossibility reserved for the privileged. In addition, the amount of money spent on public education in Colombia is essentially non-existent.Right now I am working in a public school in Ginebra Colombia and I used this school as a laboratory for this purpose and obviously to leave them a product that can be applied in the future. The population was mainly the students from 9th to 11th grade because those were the students I was working with.Ginebra is an important municipality in Valle del Cauca in Colombia well known for its cuisine. It is also known for its grape plantations from which they produce wine and sweets and finally but not least its music. Ginebra holds the festival of Andean music (Festival Mono Nuñez) which is highly recognized in Latin America. These are all aspects (historical, geographical, and cultural) that can be used for the implementation of the CLIL material. As a result, the content is made up of four A2 level-Task base-CLIL units, with a final project at the conclusion. Each unit was designed to last approximately 120 minutes and included, as previously said, history, gastronomy, festivals, and culture from the town of Ginebra Valle in Colombia. %D 2022
